Des associations de la société civile ont annoncé mardi la création d'une charte tunisienne de l'égalité et des libertés individuelles, en présence de plusieurs personnalités dans le domaine des droits de l'homme et des académiciens.

La charte, au nombre de dix articles, réaffirme la nécessité de voir les législations se conformer à la constitution tunisienne, faire prévaloir les valeurs de liberté, d’égalité et de droit à la vie, assurer la liberté de pensée, de conscience, de religion et bannir toute forme de répression.


Les associations ayant proclamé cette charte sont notamment le syndicat national des journalistes tunisiens, les associations "Linakon", "la rue artistique", "Maoujoudine", le forum tunisien des droits économiques et sociaux et l'association tunisienne des femmes démocrates.

Civil society associations announced Tuesday the creation of a Tunisian charter of equality and individual freedoms, in the presence of several personalities in the field of human rights and academics.
The charter, in the number of ten articles, reaffirms the need to see legislation comply with the Tunisian constitution, to uphold the values of freedom, equality and the right to life, to ensure freedom of thought, conscience, religion and banish all forms of repression.
The associations that proclaimed this charter include the national union of Tunisian journalists, associations "Linkon", "the artistic street", "Maoujoudine", the Tunisian forum of economic and social rights and the Tunisian Association of Democratic women.
